Together we can bring PRIDE back to our schools and our communities

Our committee is gearing up for an ambitious campaign to inform voters about the many vital improvements to our school facilities that would be funded by approval of a $31 million bond measure on the May 21 ballot.

This bond measure will make our schools safer, healthier and more energy efficient, while generating economic activity. We firmly believe this investment in construction and renovation projects will help instill a sense of pride throughout the entire community.

The first step we must accomplish is to raise the necessary funds to conduct an effective campaign.

We urge all our supporters to take advantage of a provision in Oregon law that allows citizens to donate up to $50 per person ($100 per couple) to a political campaign, and get ALL the money back in the form of a credit on your 2013 Oregon taxes. You don’t even have to itemize your deductions to be eligible for the political tax credit! Go to www.oregontaxcredit.com for details.

Of course, you can donate as much as you want. The most you can get back from the tax credit is $50 per person. Donations to PACS are not deductible on your federal taxes.
